Line CookHillsboro - HILLSBORO BEACH, FL 33062## OverviewPosition TypeFull Time## DescriptionThe Hillsboro Club, an exclusive oceanfront private residence club in South Florida, is seeking an experienced **Line Cook** to support the Culinary Department at our gorgeous property. This position will be responsible for cooking and preparing a variety of food products, including meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, sauces and stocks according to the club’s standard recipes using a variety of equipment and utensils according to the daily prep list. We are looking for someone with hospitality experience, high energy and a passion to contribute to the continued success of our luxury property.*The Club operates 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, so operational demands require variations in shift days, starting and ending times, and hours worked in a week.*This is a Full-Time opportunity, with competitive pay ranging from $19 to $21 per hour, paid biweekly. We also offer opportunities for advancement within the company.**General Requirements*** Take inventory of all items required for the station set-up and determine those items that require preparation.* Prepares items according to standard recipes.* Coordinates and times orders with other kitchen operations.* Requisitions items needed to produce menu items.* Notifies Sous Chef of expected shortages.* Ensure that assigned work areas and equipment are clean and sanitary.* Sets-up, maintains and breaks down prep cook station.* Covers, dates and neatly stores all leftover products that are re-usable.* Makes recommendations for maintenance, repair and upkeep of the line prep area and equipment.* Close the kitchen properly using the closing checklist.* Attends kitchen staff meetings and offers suggestions for improvements.* Assists with other duties as assigned by the Executive Chef**Physical Demands and Work Environment*** Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and twist or reach.* Push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds.* Continuous repetitive motions.* Work in a hot, humid and noisy environment.**Education and Experience:*** High School diploma or GED.* Successful completion of a two-year course at culinary school.* A minimum of two years of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking.**Our Benefits*** Competitive Salary* Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance* Company-Paid Life Insurance* Supplemental Insurance for Short Term Disability, AD&D, and More* 401k Retirement Plan Plus Company Match* Paid Vacation* Paid Holidays* Employee Meals Provided* Jury Duty Leave* Bereavement Pay* Direct Deposit**Who we are:**Hillsboro Club VideoFounded in 1925, The Hillsboro Club is a private residence club for members and their guests in South Florida.
