Position Overview This role manages all operational activities and associated costs of the assigned Distribution Center, focusing on increasing revenues and delivering superior customer service. Duties Collaborate with the Sales team to achieve sales and profit objectives by developing and executing consultative sales strategies for existing accounts and by promoting brand awareness and value selling to new opportunities. Promote a sales‑oriented environment by communicating goals, strategies, and performance metrics, and by providing consistent training on sales methodology and customer service. Hire, train, and evaluate staff to work productively with professionalism, urgency, and a customer‑service focus. Control expenses and operating ratios to meet or exceed prior‑year and budget levels, monitor product inventory, reconcile physical inventory adjustments, and minimize slow‑moving inventory. Administer order entry controls and pricing policies consistent with company guidelines. Manage logistics of shipping and delivery using company trucks and efficient common carriers. Administer credit policy and assist in receivables collection in partnership with sales and credit departments. Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline (e.g., Marketing, Business, or Supply Chain) is preferred, or at least 5 years of experience in warehousing/distribution. At least 5 years of building‑products sales or distribution experience, with a self‑starting, self‑motivated disposition. Ability to work in a warehouse environment, including frequent bending, stretching, and lifting up to 25 pounds. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is required. Experience with Oracle is a plus.
