Job Description As a Security Officer Patrol in Santa Margarita, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As a Security Officer supporting a utilities location, you will conduct routine unarmed patrols, operate a vehicle as part of assigned duties, help to deter security-related incidents, and report observations. You will maintain a visible presence, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and provide customer service while upholding Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon04:00 PM - 12:00 AMFri04:00 PM - 12:00 AMSat04:00 PM - 12:00 AMSun04:00 PM - 12:00 AM What You’ll Do: Provide customer service to utility operations personnel, contractors, visitors, and/or the public while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies. Conduct regular and random patrols of utility facilities, access points, parking areas, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions. Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site procedures. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols and notifying appropriate personnel. Prepare accurate reports and maintain required logs regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related activities. Minimum Requirements: A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks. Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
