Senior BI Platform Engineer

Job Summary Our client is seeking a Power BI Administrator to join their team! This position is located Hybrid in St. Louis, Missouri. This position will focus on platform operations, security administration, governance, and overall environment management across Power BI and Microsoft Fabric technologies. Core Responsibilities Maintain and support the Power BI Service and Microsoft Fabric platform environment Manage platform security, user permissions, and access controls across workspaces and analytics resources Configure and administer tenant‑level settings, workspace structures, and capacity resources Establish and uphold governance standards, compliance procedures, and data protection policies Support identity and access management through Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory), including RBAC and security group administration Provide operational support for enterprise‑wide BI environments spanning multiple business units and workspaces Partner with internal teams to promote platform standards, governance practices, and proper usage guidelines Create and maintain technical documentation related to platform configuration, standards, and administrative processes Required Skills/Experience (Must‑Haves) Bachelor’s degree required 3+ years of experience supporting or administering enterprise BI, reporting, or analytics platforms Strong experience managing and administering the Power BI Service environment Experience working within large, multi‑workspace analytics ecosystems Knowledge of governance frameworks, compliance standards, and platform security best practices Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), role‑based access control, and identity/access administration Key Competencies & Behaviors Exposure to Microsoft Fabric technologies including Lakehouse, Warehouse, or Data Engineering workloads Relevant Microsoft certifications related to Power BI, Fabric, or Azure technologies Familiarity with DevOps concepts, source control, Git integration, or CI/CD practices supporting analytics platforms Prior experience working alongside analytics engineering, BI, or data platform teams Work Environment Location: St. Louis, Missouri - Hybrid Compensation & Benefits Pay Range: $85,000 to $100,000 (approximate, may vary based on factors such as background, skills, and location) Medical, Dental, & Vision Insurance Plans Employee Stock Ownership Plan 401K offered Compliance with local wage minimums #J-18808-Ljbffr KellyMitchell Group
