Quality Control Inspector II

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform incoming inspections on chemicals, labeling, and components using tools like optical comparator, calipers, microscopes, and go/no-go gauges.
• Complete and/or review incoming, in-process, and final inspection documentation including component inspection folders, checklists, release forms, and calibration data records.
• Conduct in-process and final inspections to support manufacturing operations.
• Ensure quality records are maintained in accordance with company SOPs.
• Utilize computer systems (Oracle, Agile, MS Office) to process work orders and maintain records.
• Work with chemicals such as saline and isopropyl alcohol when required.
• Maintain organization, accountability, and adherence to inspection procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills:

• Strong fundamental inspection knowledge and experience with measuring tools (calipers, pin gauges, optical comparators).
• Experience with precision mechanical inspection (1–3 years preferred).
• Proficiency in computer applications such as Oracle/ERP systems, Agile, and MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, BOMs, and test processes.
• Knowledge of GMP, 21 CFR 820, and ISO 13485 standards.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as in a team environment.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 30 pounds.
• 3+ years of experience in Quality Inspection/Quality Technician role preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in precision mechanical inspection.
• Minimum 3 years of experience using optical comparator is desired.
• - Experience in mechanical testing environments (non-pharmaceutical).

Education/Experience:

• Associate technical degree or equivalent experience.
