Chick-fil-A Cook Position
Chick-fil-A Twelve Oaks in Novi is hiring an experienced Cook to join our Back of House team. This is a role for someone who takes pride in cooking to standard, moves with urgency, and helps set the pace in the kitchen. Food safety and food quality are non-negotiable here if that's how you already work, you'll fit right in.
Pay: $19.00 / hour
Shift Window: 5:30 AM 2:00 PM
Availability: Weekends required
Experience: Required (QSR, fast-casual, or scratch kitchen)
What You'll Do
- Cook every product to Chick-fil-A quality and hold time standards
- Execute breading, breakfast, grilled, and fryer stations with speed and accuracy
- Follow food safety protocols temperatures, glove changes, cross-contamination prevention, and cook logs
- Complete Icon checks and product-quality verifications every shift
- Keep stations clean, stocked, and organized throughout the shift
- Communicate hold times, waste, and equipment issues to the Shift Coach
- Support opening procedures, breakfast-to-lunch transition, and mid-day resets
- Set the pace and standard for other BOH team members
What You Bring
- Prior cook or high-volume kitchen experience is required
- Working knowledge of food safety practices and willingness to earn ServSafe certification
- Reliable availability from 5:30 AM 2:00 PM, including Saturdays
- Ability to stand, lift 40+ lbs, and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong attention to detail and pride in food quality
- Team-first attitude with a hospitality mindset
