Floating required within the facility

Description: This position is for a Medical Surgical unit that takes patients from various departments. The unit averages 8-12 admissions over a 24-hour period. The goal is to maintain a 5:1 patient ratio, though flexing to 6:1 may occur. Patients include a wide variety of diagnoses, including those post-heart catheterization and surgical patients. Interdisciplinary support from various services is available. Experience with charting systems like Cerner is preferred. Candidates should have skills in managing central lines, blood product administration, and telemetry. Additional skills in wound care and IV management are required.
