The role includes managing care for clients in an acute care setting. Candidates must have a thorough understanding of care coordination and discharge planning. Knowledge of CMS guidelines and HIPAA regulations is essential. The nurse will coordinate benefits eligibility, appeals, and denials. The role entails working with a patient caseload of up to 25 individuals. Experience with medical record charting systems is necessary. Floating between units may be required based on departmental needs. The candidate will work every other weekend. Must commit to working three of the five major holidays throughout the contract period.
