About the Position

Job Title: RN - Med Surg Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical/Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Active RN license Certifications: BLS required, ACLS preferred Description: Contract position for an RN in the Medical/Surgical unit. The shift is from 07:00 to 19:00. No on-call requirements. This assignment is for a 13-week duration. The unit has a total of 32 beds. There are 50 staff members on this unit. The typical patient ratio is 1:5 during the day and 1:6 at night. Available equipment includes Welch Allyn vital signs machines and i-mobile iPhones for communication. The unit utilizes an EMR system. Permanent positions are available on this unit. Candidates must have experience in Medical/Surgical nursing. BLS certification is required. Preferred candidates will have experience with transplants, dialysis patients, and diabetic patients. Typical procedures performed on this unit include all surgical procedures and kidney transplants. The best personality fit for this unit is a team player who takes initiative. The dress code requires navy scrubs. This unit was recognized as a Unit of Distinction in 2021.
