Occupational Therapist

The University of Vermont Health Network seeks an Occupational Therapist to provide evidence-based evaluations and interventions that promote functional independence for patients across inpatient and outpatient settings. As part of our collaborative, patient-centered Healthcare & Medical Services team, you will design individualized treatment plans, coordinate with interdisciplinary providers, and educate patients and families. Evaluate patients’ functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans Provide evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to improve daily living skills Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across the Health Network Educate patients, families, and caregivers on home programs and adaptive strategies Document assessments, goals, and progress in the electronic medical record Contribute to quality improvement, research, and student mentoring as appropriate Patient assessment and evaluation Treatment planning ADL and IADL training Neuromuscular re-education Pediatric and/or adult rehabilitation Use of assistive devices and adaptive equipment Electronic medical record (EMR) documentation Interdisciplinary care coordination Evidence-based practice Patient and family education Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license in applicable state NBCOT certification as an Occupational Therapist, Registered BLS certification Experience with EMR systems preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr
