CT TECHNOLOGIST- FULL-TME

Responsibilities This opportunity is full-time at 36 hours per week, offers full benefits and a convenient schedule working Wednesday & Thursday 11pm-7:30am, Friday & Saturday 7pm-7am. This position may qualify for a sign-on bonus up to $25,000. Under the direct supervision of the Radiologist and the Department Manager, the CT technologist delivers Computed Tomography testing to patients of all age groups. The technologist utilizes equipment and technique to assist in diagnosis or treatment and performs diagnostic imaging and related procedures (including but not limited to, localization for biopsy, aspiration and/or drainage procedures) to demonstrate anatomy and/or obtain specimens for interpretation by, or at the request of, a licensed practitioner. Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complementary to medical ethics. Applies appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure. Is available for “on-call” duties and is prepared to arrive at the facility within thirty minutes of being notified. Is capable of and willing to cross‑train and float into other areas to meet facility needs, and to assist in the cross‑training and orientation of others. Recognizes the signs and symptoms of stroke, calls a stroke alert overhead, verbalizes the stroke alert process, ensures immediate availability of the CT scanner for Head CT of a stroke alert patient, calls the Radiologist upon completion, and maintains currency in stroke knowledge by completing the annual 1‑hour online training. Qualifications Current State of Florida license. Current ARRT registry in Radiology and CT. AHA Healthcare Provider BLS. Proficiency computer skills. English verbal and written fluency.
