Overview Laboratory Science Saves Lives: Histotechnologists Make it Possible Position: Histotechnologist - Surgical Pathology (Full-Time, Night Shift 10p.m.–6a.m., Monday‑Friday with rotating holidays)Location: NewYork, NewYork Responsibilities Perform all routine histologic procedures, including grossing, embedding, cutting, staining, cover slipping, labeling, special staining, and distribution using state‑of‑the‑art equipment. Preferred Criteria At least one year of experience in histology. Experience with special staining procedures. Required Criteria Associate’s Degree in Science and completion of an approved histology accredited program OR a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience). NewYork State Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure or certification as a Histology Technician, Clinical Laboratory Technician, or Clinical Laboratory Technologist. Must obtain the NYS license within 6 months of hire. Compensation & Benefits Salary Range: $54.20–$60.50 per hour. Competitive sign‑on bonus up to $12k. Experiential bonus commensurate with experience. Specialty pay differential for histology. Comprehensive benefits package. Location Requirements Position requires on‑site presence; applicants must live within commutable distance to NYP. NYP will not reimburse travel expenses.
