Janitor

Job Description

Pay: $18-$21/hour
Location: Colorado Springs, CO 80922
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM
Job Type: Full-Time

JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a Janitor to help maintain a clean, safe, and organized manufacturing facility and its surrounding grounds. This position is a good fit for someone who is comfortable working independently and staying active throughout the day.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and clean floors and surfaces
• Clean windows and other areas throughout the facility
• Clean and sanitize restrooms and restock supplies
• Keep lunchrooms, conference rooms, and training areas clean
• Empty trash and recycling throughout the building and outside areas
• Keep janitorial supplies and chemical storage areas organized
• Maintain cleaning supply inventory
• Help keep parking lots, employee areas, and exterior grounds clean
• Report safety concerns and perform minor repairs when needed
• Use cleaning equipment, tools, ladders, and step stools as needed
• Perform other cleaning and maintenance duties as assigned

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• At least 1 year of janitorial, custodial, or similar experience
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Good communication skills
• Able to work independently
• Organized and able to manage cleaning supplies and tasks
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and squat regularly
• Able to lift and move up to 20 lbs. frequently
• Able to occasionally lift and move up to 50 lbs. without assistance
• May occasionally use ladders, step stools, pallet jacks, or a scissor lift
• Able to safely use cleaning equipment, tools, and supplies
