Service Manager

Responsibilities The Service Manager oversees the daily operations of the service department at Volvo Cars Memphis. This full‑time, on‑site role involves managing service staff, scheduling and prioritizing repair and maintenance work, and ensuring high‑quality service and timely job completion. The Manager monitors department performance, manages budgets, and maintains compliance with manufacturer standards and dealership policies. Direct interaction with customers to explain services, address concerns, and promote a positive service experience is also required, alongside support for training, coaching, and development of service advisors and technicians to maintain a safe, efficient, and collaborative work environment. Qualifications Experience in automotive service management or a related leadership role in a dealership or service center. Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and maintain long‑term client relationships. Proficiency in service scheduling, workflow management, and basic budgeting or cost control. Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance processes, safety standards, and manufacturer guidelines. Skills in team leadership, performance coaching, and conflict resolution to support and guide service staff. Ability to use dealership management systems or service software, and basic computer skills (email, spreadsheets, documentation). High school diploma or equivalent required; post‑secondary education or technical training in automotive or business is a plus. Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
