Employment Type: Full time
Shift: Days- with weekend rotation

Hours per week: 40 hour/week

Hiring Range: $17.00 -$22.74/hourly

This position is eligible for additional compensation based on the shifts worked.

• Weekday evening shift - additional 10%
• Weekday night shift - an additional 15%
• Weekend day shift - an additional 10%
• Weekend evening & night shifts - an additional 21%

The actual compensation for this position will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

Responsibilities:

• Clean, disinfect, and maintain patient rooms, bathrooms, corridors, offices, waiting areas, and other assigned hospital spaces
• Perform terminal cleaning of patient rooms following discharge, transfer, isolation, or special procedures
• Follow established cleaning procedures, infection control guidelines, and safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Safely handle, transport, and dispose of waste, linen, and regulated medical waste according to hospital policy
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as floor machines, vacuums, and carpet cleaners
• Replenish supplies such as soap, paper products, hand sanitizer, and trash liners
• Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns (e.g., spills, damaged equipment, biohazards) to appropriate personnel
• Respond promptly to urgent cleaning requests, including spills, isolation rooms, and emergency situations
• Interact professionally and courteously with patients, visitors, and staff while maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality

Education:

• Less than High school diploma/GED.
