Commercial Service Technician

The Commercial Service Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and components in commercial settings. This role requires ensuring all work complies with industry standards, safety regulations, and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

· Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial buildings.

· Troubleshoot electrical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.

· Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documents.

· Communicate effectively with clients, supervisors, and team members regarding service calls.

· Complete service reports and maintain accurate records of work performed.

· Ensure compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes.

· Perform preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime.

· Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicles in good working condition.

· Follow all safety protocols and adhere to company policies and procedures.

· Purchase materials as needed for service calls, ensuring proper cost tracking and timely availability.

· Accurately document and submit receipts, material usage, and expenses in accordance with company procedures.

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or apprenticeship preferred.

· Valid electrician license (if required by jurisdiction).

· 3+ years of experience as a commercial service technician or similar role.

· Strong knowledge of electrical systems, hand tools, and diagnostic equipment.

· Ability to work independently and manage multiple service calls daily.

· Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

· Standing, bending, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces as needed.
