Social Worker Profession: Behavioral Health Specialty: Mental Health Counselor Duration: 6-month Contract Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Required Description: Maintain ethical behavior in accordance with the professional code of ethics. Function as part of the agency team, cooperating with all staff members. Attend weekly clinical team meetings. Attend weekly staff meetings. Complete documentation timely and efficiently as required by funding sources and agency policy. Provide comprehensive assessment, outpatient and aftercare, and crisis intervention for mental health and substance abuse clients. Adhere to accepted clinical practice standards, federal, state regulations, and ethical standards. Prepare all necessary documentation and reports as required. Represent the organization professionally in the community. Manage a caseload delivering direct services, including individual, group, and family counseling/therapy. Participate in needs assessments to identify behavioral health needs in the community. Provide consultations to staff and community agencies as needed. Maintain strong working relationships with community human service agencies and organizations. Coordinate treatment activities with relevant departments as directed. Participate in treatment team meetings and case conferences with involved parties. Prioritize client advocacy both within and outside the agency. Maintain effective communication standards with co-workers. Engage in community behavioral health needs assessments. Position urgency is classified as rapid response.
