The role supports a diverse range of business lines and collateral types, including office equipment, healthcare equipment, and commercial auto financing.Key ResponsibilitiesCredit UnderwritingReview and analyze commercial credit applications and credit reportsPerform in‑depth credit analysis and prepare written credit summaries and recommendations for credit approversUnderwrite application‑only transactions with exposure limits up to $1,000,000Research & AnalysisResearch businesses seeking credit and evaluate creditworthinessAnalyze credit reports, limited financial information, and third‑party dataUtilize tools such as Dun & Bradstreet and PayNet to support underwriting decisionsInternal CollaborationCorrespond regularly with internal sales teams regarding credit applications and decisionsProvide clear, well‑documented credit rationale to support decision‑makingInteract occasionally with third‑party vendors; role is not customer‑facingReporting & ToolsUse Excel to complete underwriting write‑ups using established templatesMaintain accurate and consistent credit documentationBasic qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experienceTypically four or more years of relevant experiencePreferred skills/experience: Strong credit analysis and analytical skillsThorough knowledge of credit analysis, credit administration, credit policy and procedures, and risk analysisBackground in economics, accounting, and/or financeEffective technical report writing skillsEffective verbal and written communication skillsProficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packagesProficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly ExcelLocation expectations This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week in Marshall, MN.If there’s anything we can do to accommodate a disability during any portion of the application or hiring process, please refer to our disability accommodations for applicants.
