About this opportunity: The Department of Special Education welcomes applications for a continuing full-time non-tenure faculty position beginning in the Fall semester 2027. Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U. S. without employer sponsorship.

What you'll do and what you will bring: Duties and Responsibilities: Teach courses in Special Education that address entry level content as well as specialized areas of expertise. Must be available to teach face-to-face courses on campus (potential evening courses) and capable of teaching online asynchronous or synchronous courses if needed Maintain qualifications to ensure ability to teach in the teacher preparation sequence (e.g., history of teaching in schools) and/or the graduate program (terminal degree, current engagement in the field) Participate in departmental and program area faculty meetings; serving on department, college, or university committees Maintain in person and online office hours during the week Collaborate with other faculty in Special Education as appropriate to ensure program delivery maintains current best practices and accreditation standards Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the department chair and/or program manager(s) Minimum Qualifications: ​Masters degree in Special Education or a related field P-12 teaching experience with students with exceptionalities Documentation of a teaching license (may be expired) Ability to teach classes on-campus, including evening classes Demonstrated knowledge of special education practices including instruction for students with disabilities, IEP processes, and inclusive practices Strong communication skills Preferred Qualifications: Active licensure in Special Education or related discipline PhD or EdD in Special Education Experience teaching in higher education in various modalities 3 or more years of teaching in a special education setting or serving students with exceptionalities Experience supervising pre-service teachers How to apply: For inquiries about this opportunity, please contact the Department of Special Education View email address on click.appcast.io View phone number on click.appcast.io Important: Please follow upload instructions for attaching all required documents listed below.
