Windows Server Administrator

Salary: $85,000 - 100,000 per year Requirements:

• We require the ability to pass a federal background investigation and obtain a Public Trust clearance.
• We seek 6+ years of engineering-level experience supporting Microsoft Windows Server in an enterprise datacenter environment.
• We prefer demonstrated experience managing Windows workloads in Azure, ideally with Azure VMware Solution or a similar hybrid hosting model.
• We need experience in diagnosing, analyzing, and resolving complex issues, including knowing when to escalate appropriately.
• We value adaptability and comfort working in an environment with change and ambiguity.
• We expect experience partnering with technology and business teams to deliver solutions aligned to business goals.

• We install, test, configure, patch, monitor, back up, and maintain Windows Server operating systems and related software across physical and virtual infrastructure.
• We use volume management techniques to create, maintain, expand, and shrink file systems while monitoring file system performance.
• We monitor performance, capacity, and availability, and we perform operating system tuning.
• We support on-premises VMware vSphere workloads and help transition workloads into Azure, including rehosting planning, image standardization, and configuration alignment.
• We support Windows Server environments hosted with commercial cloud providers such as Azure.
• We use cloud-native tools and services such as Azure Monitor, Azure Update Management, and Defender for Cloud to manage health, performance, and compliance.
• We configure and maintain Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and other Windows services across hybrid environments.
• We harden systems in accordance with client cybersecurity policies, standards, regulations, and notices, while supporting security monitoring and accreditation updates.
• We identify, investigate, and remediate operating system security vulnerabilities.
• We add and remove client domain user accounts and roles as needed.
• We troubleshoot and resolve Tier 3 service requests and incidents, collaborating with customers and vendors in a fast-paced environment when necessary.
• We support task automation using client tools such as Ansible.
• We maintain and contribute to enterprise source code and configuration repositories in GitLab.
• We provide remote support around the clock, seven days a week, and on-site facility response when required.
• We document and execute changes, and we resolve incidents and problems using the clients configuration management tools and systems.
• We prepare and deliver knowledge transfer documentation for the client as needed.
• We participate in Agile project management and contribute to a DevSecOps culture.
• We work with infrastructure and platform services including Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022 across VMware, AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform, along with tools such as PowerShell, Ansible, GitLab, VMware, Carbon Black, CyberArk, Defender EM, Remedy, and ServiceNow.
