Respiratory Therapist PRN

Scope of Work Assist patients to breathe more easily and live a more comfortable life. Collaborate with a highly skilled clinical team to diagnose, monitor, and treat conditions affecting lungs and breathing in people of all ages. Perform evaluations to determine respiratory care needs and make appropriate recommendations according to policy and protocol guidelines. Assess treatment effectiveness and document accurately according to department and legal/regulatory standards. Perform point‑of‑care testing as required. Conduct advanced evaluation, management, and therapeutic procedures for patients requiring respiratory assistance. Assess effectiveness of interventions and document accurately per standards. Complete and document required education and competencies within the designated timeframe. Maintain competency in areas of accountability. Ensure accurate and timely completion of all necessary documentation and billing. Facilitate smooth transitions for patients to appropriate referral services, next point of service, or home, and provide education on respiratory issues. Instruct and train other respiratory care staff, nursing and other medical personnel, and students regarding patient needs and respiratory care services. Qualifications Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy (Required) Bachelor’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy (Preferred) At least 2 years of relevant experience in pulmonary rehabilitation, respiratory care, sleep medicine, or equivalent clinical education (Required) LIC-Respiratory Therapist – STATE_MI (Required) CRT‑Respiratory Therapist Registry – NBRC (Required upon hire) CRT‑Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) – AHA (Required upon hire) CRT‑Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – AHA.
