Lab Technician II

Job Summary Responsible for providing laboratory support and performing routine chemical and physical testing of samples as required. Duties are routine and performed according to established standard operating procedures. The incumbent must use judgment to determine when independent action is appropriate or when to contact a supervisor for direction. Hourly Range: $18.79 - $26.36. Final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including experience level, education, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Responsibilities Cleans, sanitizes and/or disinfects laboratory glassware, environmental chambers and water baths. Makes inventory of laboratory supplies and samples. Receives supplies and stocks shelves or delivers supplies as necessary. Maintains laboratory compliance with safety, GMP, and GLP standards. Follows standard operating procedures while performing duties and maintains accurate records of all physical and analytical testing. Prepares and catalogs HPLC, reagents, ACS, and test solutions. Collects in‑process and finished product samples from the production department daily. Verifies semi‑finished product sample counts and receipts in QC Chemistry prior to use. Receives and verifies QA‑issued documentation for QC Chemistry prior to use. Ships samples requiring outside laboratory testing. Performs scheduled inspections. Performs data entry of results. Proofreads and verifies accuracy of printed labeling material. Performs routine testing of medical air/utilities, components, labeling, and miscellaneous items by visual/dimensional AQL assessment, using manual and/or automated methods. Qualifies as a visual inspector, subject to ongoing qualification testing/training. Performs daily calibration on IQC inspection lamps and calibers. Maintains the annual vendor qualifications. Collects all testing data for inter‑location transfers (ILT). Performs sampling and physical release of miscellaneous materials. Performs IQC SAP transactions. Maintains temperature and/or humidity charts for the IQC office and environmental chambers. Promptly reports discrepancies and out‑of‑limits conditions to supervision. Performs other duties as required by a supervisor in support of daily lab operations.
