Web Engineer Lead

Leading the engineering framework for a global web presence, the full-time Web Engineer Lead will design and enhance scalable architectures while collaborating cross-functionally to deliver high-performance, accessible, and AI-ready web solutions in a remote environment. Key responsibilities Driving modernization of a multi-domain website architecture, including consolidation and optimization for performance and accessibility Establishing advanced performance reporting and monitoring systems to tie web performance metrics to business outcomes Managing CMS architecture and migrations, ensuring seamless transitions and self-serve capabilities for content teams Required qualifications 12+ years of hands-on web engineering experience with leadership in high-traffic, multi-domain web properties Deep expertise in Optimizely and WordPress, including backend development in .NET/C# and PHP Proficiency in frontend engineering with frameworks like React or Vue, ensuring responsive and accessible UI development Experience with cloud hosting on AWS and Azure, and leading large-scale CMS migrations Strong knowledge of technical SEO and AEO, including structured data and generative search platform readiness
