Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 12-Hour Night Shifts | Every Other Weekend Required | Expected 72 Hours Biweekly (on-call hours not included)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit during night shift hours
• Independently read and interpret telemetry strips — this unit does not have telemetry technicians; all RNs are required to monitor and interpret their own cardiac rhythms
• Administer and manage medications in accordance with facility protocols
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic electronic health records
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in Massachusetts
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute Medical-Surgical with Telemetry nursing experience required
• CPR and ACLS certification required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must pass a facility-administered Dysrhythmia (20-question) and Medication (20-question) competency test prior to acceptance — administered remotely via Zoom; passing score is 85%; one attempt only with no opportunity for remediation or re-sit

• Strong dysrhythmia recognition and interpretation skills
• Experience in a fast-paced acute care telemetry environment
• Ability to manage a high-acuity patient load with minimal supervision
