Geriatric Medicine Physician

The Division of Palliative Care and Geriatric Medicine at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center is seeking a board certified/eligible Geriatric Medicine Physician to help develop and lead an inpatient geriatrics consultation service. This role is key to our clinical, educational, and quality improvement missions.

What You Will Do:

• Assist with developing an inpatient geriatric consultation service within Lahey's academic medical center.
• Provide consultation services as part of interdisciplinary care.
• Support LHMC's plans to become an Age-Friendly Health System.
• Teach geriatric care principles to interdisciplinary professional learners, including medical students and residents.
• Commit to promoting quality care transitions.

Program & Educational Focus:

• LHMC is affiliated with the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School.
• Professional Development: We support candidates' interests with available clinical, educational, and academic opportunities.
• Preferred: Interest and experience in program development.
• Academic Appointment: Opportunity for an academic appointment with the University of Massachusetts Chan School of Medicine (commensurate with achievement).

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Completed Geriatric Medicine Fellowship training by hire date or demonstrate comparable experience.
• Board certified/eligible in Geriatric Medicine.
• Demonstrate passion for clinical geriatrics.

Pay Range: $220,000.00 USD - $240,000.00 USD
