SOC Analyst II

Piper Companies is looking for a SOC Analyst II to support a client in the cloud services and cybersecurity industry. The SOC Analyst II role involves Tier 2 security monitoring and incident response, as well as hands-on experience using Splunk and AWS in a hybrid work environment. The SOC Analyst II is a long-term open-ended contract opportunity and requires being onsite 2 days per week in RTP, NC or Fulton, MD.

Responsibilities of the SOC Analyst II:

• Review, analyze, and respond to security alerts with Splunk
• Execute Tier 2 incident investigation and escalation
• Monitor and secure AWS cloud environments
• Utilize security tools such as Tenable, Defender, and AWS Config

Requirements of the SOC Analyst II:

• Active Secret Clearance
• Experience working as a Tier 2 SOC Analyst
• Strong Splunk alert analysis, AWS, and cloud security experience
• Hands-on experience with Tenable, Defender, and AWS Config

Compensation for the SOC Analyst II:

• $105,000 - $124,000
