Registered Nurse RN FT Day Inpatient Surgical Unit

Description The Inpatient Surgery Department at Saint Mary’s Hospital is a 23‑bed unit specializing in the pre‑ and post‑operative care of patients undergoing a wide range of surgical procedures. These include, but are not limited to, bariatric, orthopedic, ortho‑trauma, neuro‑spine, mastectomy, urological, gynecological, and gastrointestinal surgeries. Employment Type Full time Shift 12 Hour Day Shift Your Role As a valued member of our multidisciplinary team, you will: Deliver direct, hands‑on care to patients with complex surgical needs. Develop and implement individualized care plans focused on promoting recovery and restoring patients to their pre‑surgical level of wellness. Provide exceptional care and support for patients requiring overnight or extended post‑operative stays. Minimum Qualifications Education: Associate’s degree in nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred. Licensure: Current and valid Connecticut RN license. Experience: Minimum of 1 year in an acute inpatient setting. Certifications: BLS or CPR certification from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross. Work Schedule Full‑time, 36 hours, Days 12‑hour shifts – 7:00 am to 7:30 pm Schedule includes weekends and holidays required. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
