POSITION INFORMATION Job Title: Anesthesia Tech I Department: Peri-Operative Location: Unity Hospital - 1555 Long Pond Road, Rochester, NY 14626 Hours Per Week: 40 hrs. Schedule: Monday - Friday 2pm - 9:30pm SUMMARY As an Anesthesia Tech, your excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality control helps you to manage anesthesia equipment and supplies, while assisting with daily functions of the Anesthesia Department. ATTRIBUTES Previous anesthesia experience preferred Excellent interpersonal and communications skills Strong attention to detail Compassionate and patient focused RESPONSIBILITIES Equipment Management. Maintain all anesthesia equipment; manage quality control by recognizing malfunctioning equipment and taking necessary action; perform minor equipment repairs and preventive maintenance. Procedure Assistance. Prepare anesthesia equipment and supplies for use; calibrate and check equipment accurately before each use; assist with procedures as assigned; stock anesthesia carts with extremely high-risk medications (may handle meds, sharps and syringes); maintain a clean, safe and adequately supplied workroom. Maintains Ideal Working Operations. Contribute to maintenance of supply inventory, ensure there are adequate levels of available supplies and complete monthly pharmacy inspections. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; requires frequent walking, standing or squatting. PAY RANGE $19.00 - $21.00 BASE PAY NOTE The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
