Job Summary & Responsibilities As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will be a pivotal healthcare professional delivering compassionate, high-quality care that impacts our patients' well‑being and recovery. Assessment: Conduct admission and ongoing assessment of patient condition, provide nursing care to meet physical, psychological and spiritual needs, notifying the doctor of changes requiring attention. Planning: Design, direct, evaluate, and document plan of care, patient/family teaching and transitions of care, including discharge disposition; work with clinical disciplines to meet specialized needs. Implementation: Prepare patients physically, psychologically, and spiritually for treatments, surgeries, and diagnostic studies; report significant changes; implement patient safety initiatives and protocols. Evaluation: Reassess patients at appropriate intervals, notify physician as necessary, adjust nursing care. Report Skills: Give and receive bedside shift reports, providing accurate continuity of care. Environment & Patient Safety: Maintain patient and work environment to maximize safety, promptly remove used equipment, and report hazards. Required Associate of Science or Diploma in Nursing and at least one (1) year of RN experience at hire. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within 2 years from date of hire; current employees grandfathered before July 2020. Demonstrated competence in Registered Nurse I performance expectations or meets experience requirements at hire. Registered Nurse: TX license at hire. Basic Life Support – CPR within 14 days of hire. Preferred Bachelor of Science in Nursing upon hire.
