PHYSICIAN AND SURGEON, CORRECTIONAL FACILITY (INTERNAL MED/FAMILY PRACTICE)

Position Overview Physician & Surgeon, CF (Internal Medicine/Family Practice) – Central California Women’s Facility (CCWF), multiple part‑time positions (20 hrs /week). Salary range: $13,338.50–$14,820.00 monthly. Hiring unit: California Correctional Health Care Services. Responsibilities Perform medical assessments and provide treatment for assigned patients as authorized by license. Consult with Advanced Practice Providers and provide clinical support to nursing and other staff. Educate clinical staff on medical protocols and standards of care. Serve on call duties. Participate in duty statements and other departmental activities. Minimum Requirements Licensed physician in California with a valid Medical or Osteopathic Board license. Valid internal medicine or family medicine specialty certificate (or equivalent). Eligibility to practice medicine in California and meet internal medicine or family medicine clinical standards. Completion of state examination (STD 678) and required documentation. Compliance with tuberculosis testing requirements and background investigation.
