Step into a dynamic educational setting dedicated to supporting young learners as a valued Speech-Language Pathologist. We're seeking a committed professional to make a positive impact in a PreK-4 program on a full-time, contract basis, with an immediate start available. You'll collaborate with a caring multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality speech and language services that help students thrive academically and socially.
Your expertise working with pediatric populations and in school environments ensures that you can design and implement targeted interventions that address the unique needs of each child. This is an exciting opportunity to use your SLP skills in a supportive educational community.
Qualifications:
- Current Connecticut Speech-Language Pathologist license and teaching certification required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred
- Experience serving PreK-4 students, ideally in a school setting
- Strong understanding of IEP development and documentation
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- A passion for helping young children overcome communication challenges
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat communication disorders in students from PreK through grade 4
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in alignment with students’ academic objectives
- Work closely with teachers, families, and support staff to identify student needs and monitor progress
- Document evaluation results, therapy notes, and progress reports in compliance with school and regulatory standards
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to comprehensive educational planning
- Provide support, guidance, and resources to families and staff regarding speech and language development
