Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care for adult medical-surgical patients, including initial assessments and ongoing monitoring
• Administer medications, IV therapy, wound care, and routine treatments per policy
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and adjust care plans; provide patient-family education
• Document care accurately in the electronic medical record; ensure compliance with Maine State Standard and facility policies
• Respond rapidly in emergencies; maintain patient safety, confidentiality, and infection control
• Monitor patient condition changes and assist with discharge planning and referrals

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted Maine RN license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum 1 year of Med-Surg or acute care RN experience
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ASN or BSN)
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills; proficient with electronic medical records
