Job Overview The Store Manager In Training (SMIT) program is a development focused role designed to prepare you for a CVS Store Manager position. The program spans 16 weeks and includes virtual and hands‑on learning with support from District Leaders, Human Resources Business Partner, Training Store Manager, and a Store Manager coach. Key Responsibilities Actively engage with your leader in Key Learning Experiences to support your path to promotion during the structured program. Support your store as a management team member and lead in a manner consistent with CVS values and policies. Engage colleagues to support the company's purpose of helping people on their path to better health. Participate in store operations, including customer service, merchandising, inventory management, and asset maintenance. Attend and complete scheduled training sessions and assessments. Required Qualifications A high‑school diploma or GED is required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Retail management experience or experience as a CVS Supervisor. Willingness to accept promotion to Store Manager role at any location in the designated market. Ability to transfer to other CVS Pharmacy stores within the designated market.Ability to work a variable schedule based on business needs. Demonstrated communication skills both verbally and in writing. Proficiency in executing merchandising strategies and managing store inventory and assets. Compensation & Benefits Pay Range: $18.50 - $23.88 per hour (base hourly rate). Hours: 45 hours per week. Time Type: Full time. This full‑time position is eligible for a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision coverage, paid time off, retirement savings options, wellness programs, and other resources. Selection for the SMIT position does not guarantee promotion to a Store Manager; promotion depends on performance and availability of openings.
