MNT includes performing assessments, creating nutrition care planning, counseling and education, and administration of special therapies providing individualized guidance on food selection and meal preparation for disease management and prevention of complications, and follow-up as needed. Serves as a Subject Matter Expert in nutrition, overseeing the medical nutrition therapy of the complex and high-risk patients. Provides in-service education and/or training, education programs to nursing staff, medical staff, students, healthcare personnel and the general public, as needed. Modifies patient profiles, in accordance with nutritional needs, food intolerances and food preferences. Participates as a member of the medical team at interdisciplinary care conferences to develop and/or update a patient care plan. Provides MNT for adults and/or family members referred by a physician for outpatient services. Performs regular food service department quality assurance checks. Provides nutrition-related presentations/information for the community. Provides in-service education for Food Service personnel. Prepares reports and provides other documents needed to maintain accreditation with regulatory agencies. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor\'s Degree in Dietetics from an accredited college or university Completed a Didactic Program in Dietetics Accredited by ACEND Current registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Years exp: 3 (preferred) Certifications: BLS Tribal experience required CDCES (preferred) Nice to Have License: CDCES (preferred) Experience with food service and outpatient clinical nutrition Flexible; willingness to take on new tasks Unit Information Staff on unit: Medical Assistants – schedule patients & manage cancellations/no shows Patients per day: 9-12 Type of equipment: NA Schedule Shift Times: Mid/Evening – As needed Part time or full time #J-18808-Ljbffr Talented Medical Solutions
