Shipping Clerk

Adecco is currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual for a Shipping Clerk for one of our top clients in Crown Point, IN . This role is essential to ensure the efficient coordination of inbound and outbound shipments while supporting overall warehouse operations. The position will operate from 12:00 pm to 8:30 pm and is initially temporary, with the potential for full-time employment.

As a Shipping Clerk, you will play a critical role in optimizing schedules and maintaining effective communication with carriers and customers. Your ability to handle last-minute changes and resolve scheduling conflicts will be vital to the success of our client’s operations.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate outbound and inbound carrier shipments to optimize warehouse schedules

• Adjust schedules in response to cancellations or emergencies to ensure efficiency

• Book, confirm, and update appointment times with carriers and customers as needed

• Serve as the primary contact for carriers and customers regarding tracking and scheduling concerns

• Input scheduling information into systems using scheduling software

Qualifications:

• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple schedules and appointments effectively

• Excellent communication skills to liaise with carriers and customers

• Proficiency in data entry and record-keeping to maintain accurate scheduling information

• Problem-solving skills to handle last-minute changes and resolve scheduling conflicts

• Ability to filter phone calls and manage inquiries professionally

Required Qualification:

Must have experience processing and handling Bills of Lading (BOL)

Pay Details: $17.00 per hour
