You will leverage your analytical prowess to excel in a dynamic environment, balancing autonomy with collaboration across various stakeholders. Working closely with our internal team and external partners and vendors, you will streamline and coordinate diverse financial functions, ensuring alignment with our goals and objectives as outlined in our Financial Policies.ResponsibilitiesFinancial Planning and BudgetingSupport the development of the annual budget in collaboration with the Sr. Director of Finance and school leadershipMonitor budget performance and provide regular reports to Sr. Director of Finance to inform changes to the running forecastAnalyze financial data and identify trends, variances and areas of improvementFinancial Reporting and ComplianceEnsure monthly close is completed in a timely manner and financial statements are in accordance to our financial policiesManage accurate day-to-day bookkeeping in Quickbooks for the school, including accounts receivable and payableMonitor all banking activities including credit cards and bill.com and reconcile bank statementsCollaborate with Operations and internal teams on school reporting including Quarterly Report, ACR, Authorizer Reports, etc.Support with grant maintenance and reporting including federal grantsSupport Sr. Director of Finance and CSBM with annual auditsProcurement and Vendor ManagementManage procurement process and systemsMaintain relationships with key vendors and review contracts and rates on a periodic basisEnsure compliance with procurement policies and proceduresMaintain documentation of all contracts and bidsAccounts Payable & Accounts ReceivableReview and approve invoices, order requests to ensure accurate entriesSet up vendors with electronic payments and ensure all bills are paid in a timely manner in Bill.comMaintain all contracts and detailed systems for financial back documentationReview and submit sales tax refund packetMaintain W9's and manage the 1099 preparation process annuallyUse Accrual Accounting for entries including correct dates and descriptionsUpdate Bill.com with approvers and GL codes when needed.QualificationsA Bachelor's degree, preferably in Finance, Economics, Business, or AccountingAt least 2 years of experience, preferably in not for profit organizationStrong excel and computer skillsA hunger for feedback and self-improvementStrong ownership over work product and projectsSelf-awareness, demonstrating an accurate idea of one's own strengths and weaknessesStrong collaboration, interpersonal, and communication skills, including an ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and with diverse perspectivesStrong organizational, self-management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle many responsibilities simultaneouslyPosition Type and Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time 12-month position.
