We support career advancement through professional training and development.Stationary EngineerDuties and Responsibilities:Operate, monitor, and maintain high-pressure boilers, chillers, and utility systems to ensure safe and efficient plant operationsResponsible for plant performance and operational decision-makingPerform startup, shutdown, and load adjustments of boilers and auxiliary equipmentMonitor and control:Steam pressure and temperatureBoiler feedwater and condensate systemsCooling towers and chilled water systemsEnsure compliance with City of Houston regulations, company policies, and safety standardsEnforce and follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and proper equipment isolationRespond to equipment failures and system upsets, minimizing downtime and maintaining reliabilityPerform routine inspections and log readings of:Boilers and pressure systemsPumps, valves, and compressorsMechanical and electrical equipmentCoordinate and assist with preventive and corrective maintenance activitiesMaintain accurate logs, reports, and operational recordsEnsure proper water treatment and chemical control for boilers and cooling systemsIdentify equipment deficiencies and recommend repairs or system improvementsMaintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety policies, PPE requirements, and hazard reporting proceduresWork rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidaysPerform additional duties as assigned to support plant operationsBrown & Root Industrial Services is an equal opportunity employer.
