It is a Level 3 Trauma center and a Stroke Center of Excellence. The facility also boasts a Bariatric Center of Excellence and a Chest Pain Center. The surgical department has 19 OR suites, with 17 rooms booked regularly. On average, 50 cases are performed per day. The candidate will not be accepted as a first-time traveler. Surgical specialties include Trauma, ortho trauma, ortho total joints, spine, cardiology, vascular, GYN, GYN-Oncology, Robotics, General, HPB, Bariatrics, Urology, ENT, Eyes, Pain, and Plastics surgery. Experience is required to scrub in cases of Trauma, ortho trauma, ortho total joints, spine, cardiology, vascular, GYN, GYN-Oncology, Robotics, General, HPB, Bariatrics, Urology, ENT, Eyes, Pain, and Plastics. Neuro experience must include recent and comprehensive experience with Globus, robotic navigation, ALIFs, TLIFs, and ACDF procedures. Candidates should provide details on how often they perform these cases and their overall experience. Sterile technique is essential. Support within the department includes Clinical Supervisors, Charge Nurses, Educators, and Unit Secretaries. The facility uses the EPIC electronic medical record system. Weekend rotation is every 4th weekend and may include call. Scheduled shifts will typically be from 7 AM to 7 PM, with call required an average of 6 shifts per 6-week schedule. Response time for call is expected to be 45 minutes. Travelers will work 75% of holidays. Manager approval is required for time off requests.
