What You'll Do

As a QC / Formulation Chemist, you'll support product development and quality initiatives through laboratory testing, technical investigations, and formulation support activities.

Responsibilities include:

• Conducting quality control and performance testing on specialty coatings and related materials
• Performing wet chemistry analyses, titrations, and physical property testing
• Executing ASTM and other industry-standard test methods
• Supporting formulation development and optimization projects
• Conducting corrosion, weathering, humidity, and salt spray testing
• Investigating customer complaints through testing and root cause analysis
• Assisting with product scale-up and manufacturing support activities
• Maintaining accurate laboratory records and technical documentation
• Interpreting test results and communicating findings to technical teams
• Collaborating with R&D, manufacturing, and technical service groups

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry
• Laboratory testing experience through industry experience, internships, co-ops, or academic research
• Knowledge of analytical chemistry techniques
• Experience with wet chemistry and titration methods
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced technical environment

Preferred

• Experience with coatings, paints, adhesives, sealants, polymers, or specialty chemicals
• Formulation experience
• Quality Control or Quality Assurance laboratory experience
• Familiarity with ASTM testing methods
• Experience with corrosion, humidity, weathering, or durability testing
• Manufacturing or scale-up support experience

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Greensboro, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $29.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
