Premier International law firm is seeking a Bookkeeper to provide support to their Claims Recovery team in Orange County. Job Duties Perform general bookkeeping and accounting support functions. Receive, record, and reconcile payments to ensure accurate financial records. Process and maintain financial transactions, disbursements, and related documentation. Accurately process a high volume of payments in a timely manner. Enter and maintain data within a proprietary database. Organize and maintain historical financial records through electronic filing and document management systems. Serve as the primary liaison between the Claims Recovery Practice Group and the Accounting Department to ensure effective communication and workflow. Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency by developing, documenting, and standardizing processes and procedures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect, verify, and organize relevant information. Attend department-sponsored conferences and events as requested. Assist with special projects and other departmental initiatives as assigned. Participate in training programs to support professional development, best practices, and new departmental initiatives. Candidate Attributes Maintain strict confidentiality when handling financial, client, and firm information. Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as the Windows operating system. Possess excellent written communication skills, including strong spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented, professional, and customer-focused environment. Adapt quickly to changing priorities while managing multiple responsibilities, meeting deadlines, and maintaining productivity under pressure. Type accurately at a minimum of 50 words per minute. Be available to work overtime as business needs require. Education High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Experience Minimum of 1-2+ years of corporate and/or administrative experience during which knowledge, skills and abilities applicable to the position were demonstrated.
