Western Building Center: Electrical Sales Associate  

Position Summary: 

Western Building Center is looking for an outgoing sales associate with electrical experience. In this position, you will be helping customers who come into the store looking for help in our electrical department. Helping to answer their questions about their shopping needs and making sure they have everything they need for their project. In this role, you will need good communication skills and computer experience.

Position Expectations: 

• Excellent customer service is given to anyone in the store.

• Cross-selling and upselling products.

• Processing transactions: Using a point-of-sales system to scan products, process payments, and issue receipts. 

• Store maintenance: Keeping the aisles clean and tidy, dusting shelves, facing products, and restocking shelves. 

• Staying up to date on new merchandise and product information. 

• Inventory: Checking materials and supplies, and reporting when stock is low. Helping with quarterly and yearly inventory. 

• Phone etiquette: Answer the phone with a smile on your face and before the third ring. 

• Plan and pace your work efficiently in order to meet daily, weekly, project, or team-related productivity goals. 

• Other duties may be assigned. 

Position Requirements: 

• Ability to calculate sales and change quickly and correctly. 

• Accountability and accuracy in reconciling sales receipts and records. 

• Service-oriented and have a proven track record of service-based positions. 

• Customer service skills to maintain positive customer relationships & encourage customer loyalty.

• Knowledge of company products is sufficient to determine appropriate applications. 

• Ability to work independently if needed and as part of a team. 

• Must comply with all safety regulations. 

• Good communication skills written and verbal. 

• Proficient computer skills with the ability to run multiple operating systems.

• Pre-employment drug screen.
