Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) Baltimore, Maryland. This position involves providing critical respiratory care to a diverse patient population, including neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients within a Level 3 and/or Level 4 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), as well as adult emergency and trauma units. The role requires expertise in managing high-acuity ventilated patients and delivering specialized respiratory interventions across all age groups, adhering to clinical standards and protocols.
Job Details
- Schedule: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 07:30), minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: 2 years of experience in respiratory therapy, active MD or Compact RN license, certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential. Must have experience with all age groups, including neonates, pediatrics, and adults.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with complex ventilator management, neonatal intensive care, and pediatric critical care; familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EPIC or similar).
- Patient Ratios: 12 patients during day and night shifts; 12 patients on weekends.
- Additional Information: The position involves managing high-frequency jet ventilation in NICU and other advanced respiratory procedures. Floating within scope and across relevant units may be required. All required compliance documentation must be completed prior to start, with labs completed within 72 hours of signing the contract.
