Laboratory Analyst III

Responsible for performing petrophysical and flow tests in a production laboratory setting. Measure rock properties on core, input data into analysis programs, and analyze results.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESSet up and maintain equipment for Advanced Rock Properties testingRecord operating data from laboratory equipment including flow pumps, pressure transducers and gauges, scales and balances, resistivity monitors, and basic laboratory glasswareWork independently on projects while maintaining a team atmosphere with other techniciansCommunicate data and results with Management and Clients in a clear mannerProvide project completion schedules to Management and ClientsDesign test programs to meet Client expectationsDevelop Standard Operating Procedures for internal use by assigned techniciansTrain assigned technicians to setup and collect dataPerform field duties when needed which includes segmenting, inventorying, and transporting core back to the laboratoryOther duties as assigned or requiredQUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or equivalent is required.Bachelor’s degree in Geology or related science is preferred.1-3 years direct industry experience, 3-5 years preferredKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ATTRIBUTESMust be experienced, or have working knowledge, in core analysis measurementsMust be computer literate with strong working knowledge of MS Office productsMust be familiar with and able to utilize Laboratory Instruments effectivelyQualified applicants must be able to interpret scientific dataPerform mathematical and scientific computationsMaintain laboratory notebooksComfortable in a laboratory environmentCheck assigned technicians work for accuracyEQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITYCore Lab is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to creating an inclusive environment for everyone.
