Job Title: Registered Nurse Med Surg / Telemetry

Location: Corvallis OR
Employment Type: Contract (13 Weeks)
Shift: Nights (7:00 PM 7:30 AM) Rotating Weekends
Compensation: Up to $2200/week (Based on experience)

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) Med Surg / Telemetry to provide high-quality patient-centered care in an acute care hospital setting. This role involves caring for medical-surgical and telemetry patients including post-operative and acutely ill adults.

The ideal candidate is experienced in cardiac monitoring interdisciplinary collaboration and EPIC documentation and thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Unit Overview

• Medical-Surgical unit caring for acutely ill adult patients
• Supports both emergent and elective surgical cases
• Telemetry monitoring available for patients requiring stable cardiac observation
• Collaborative care model with RNs and nursing support staff

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for Med-Surg and Telemetry patients
• Monitor and accurately interpret cardiac telemetry rhythms
• Care for post-operative and acutely ill adult patients
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
• Document patient care accurately using the EPIC EMR system
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies protocols and safety standards
• Support care for orthopedic and bariatric patient populations (preferred)

Required Qualifications

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of recent Med-Surg or Telemetry RN experience
• Recent experience with EPIC EMR system required

Education

• Nursing degree (ASN or BSN) required

Licensure & Certifications

• Active Oregon RN License required (must be active at submission)
• BLS (AHA Healthcare Provider) required
• ACLS (AHA) required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in orthopedic and/or bariatric patient care
• Specialty certification in Medical-Surgical Nursing (CMSRN) encouraged
