Contract | Night Shift | 3x12 Hours (19:30–08:00) | Every Other Weekend Required | Holidays Required as Scheduled

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume emergency department managing approximately 140 visits per day across 46 beds
• Assess, triage, and treat patients presenting with conditions including chest pain, stroke, sepsis, cardiac arrest, trauma, respiratory illness, and respiratory arrest
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:4, delivering safe and effective emergency nursing care
• Float within the unit and specialty as needed to support staffing requirements
• Adhere to all department protocols, documentation standards, and compliance requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Maryland or a valid Compact RN license at time of submission
• Minimum of 4–5 years of registered nursing experience in an emergency room setting
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA only), ACLS (AHA only), PALS (AHA only), CPI, NIH Stroke Scale, and TNCC
• Experience with Epic electronic health records system
• Ability to work every other weekend and holidays as scheduled
• Willingness and ability to float within unit and specialty with no restrictions

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum of 3 years of travel nursing experience preferred; first-time travelers with 5 or more years of experience will be considered
• Familiarity with high-acuity emergency presentations including cardiac arrest, trauma, and stroke protocols
