Corporate Legal Assistant - M&A + Trial (LAW FIRM)

CORPORATE M&A + TRIAL LEGAL ASSISTANT - COSTA MESA A highly respected international law firm is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to support both corporate M&A and litigation practices. This firm will train on litigation, as they have two senior secretaries on the team. M&A expertise is required. Please do not apply if you have not worked on mergers & acquisitions in the past. This role is 4 days on site in Costa Mesa, 1 day remote. Responsibilities Corporate Support Prepare and organize M&A signature packets Assist with compiling and distributing transaction documents Format complex corporate documents, including tables of contents using Styles Support attorneys and paralegals on corporate transactions Litigation Support (will train on litigation) Draft, format, revise, and proofread pleadings, discovery, motions, briefs, and correspondence Coordinate state and federal court filings Maintain attorney calendars and track court deadlines Assist with trial preparation, including witness coordination and trial materials Open new client matters, coordinate conflicts checks, and prepare engagement documentation Compensation & Benefits Base salary: $90,000 - $125,000 Discretionary year-end bonus Medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) with employer match Three weeks of PTO, no accrual Ten paid holidays plus a paid volunteer day Paid parking Short- and long-term disability coverageLife insurance This firm offers a supportive team environment, strong administrative resources, and long-term career stability with many employees holding lengthy tenures.
