Role Overview We’re looking for a young, passionate, and energetic photographer with a strong eye for storytelling and visual consistency. This is a contract-based role for someone excited to create visually compelling product and lifestyle photography for social, web, and paid channels. You’ll work closely with our creative and marketing team from 10am–3pm in our NYC office, owning shoots from concept to final delivery—creating ideas, planning and executing lifestyle photoshoots, and retouching images that reflect the essence of Atoms. What You’ll Do Create concepts and execute lifestyle photoshoots from end to end—including creative direction, location planning, styling, and shooting Shoot product, lifestyle, and studio photography that reflects Atoms’ brand aesthetic Retouch and color-correct images for use across social media, web, and ads Collaborate with the creative team to plan and execute visual content for upcoming campaigns Use AI tools and Photoshop to enhance, recreate, or stylize product visuals Organize and maintain a visual library of product and campaign images Adapt creative concepts into multiple formats and aspect ratios for different platforms Experiment with new creative techniques and visual storytelling ideas You’ll Thrive Here If You… Have a great visual eye and understand lighting, composition, and storytelling Are skilled in Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and retouching workflows Understand the needs of digital photography across social, web, and paid formats Are open to integrating AI tools (like generative fill, composition remixing, etc.) into your creative process Bring energy, curiosity, and initiative to every shoot Enjoy collaborating in a small, creative team environment Have 2–3 years of experience (internships or freelance work welcome) Bonus Points Experience shooting footwear, fashion, or lifestyle products Familiarity with short‑form video or motion content Knowledge of creative direction, set design, or visual merchandising What We’re Not Looking For Traditional studio photographers who only follow rigid setups Creatives who prefer retouching over storytelling Anyone hesitant to experiment with AI and digital tools in photography What We’re Not Looking For Candidates who have only worked in large corporations with rigid systems and no startup exposure Professionals with purely logistics or warehouse backgrounds (e.g., last‑mile delivery at Amazon) Candidates who have never worked with overseas factories or managed supplier relationships Candidates who prefer to follow existing processes rather than build themselves People who struggle with ambiguity, shifting priorities, or fast decision‑making Compensation $20/hour | Contract-based Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10am–3pm | On‑site in NYC Why Join Atoms?
