Tower WAV Job Opportunity

Tower WAV is one of the best employers in the Skokie area. The Tower Group has been operating dedicated wheelchair accessible vehicles since December 2020. We work to provide the best possible service to the passengers of the WAV program. Safety and training play a huge role in the provision of safe, efficient and on-time quality service.

Earn money from day one. We provide the vehicle, gas, maintenance, insurance, and mobile phone, with no cost to you.

Starting at $18/hour plus 100% of tips.

Full-Time (Mon-Fri) evening shifts available. All shifts must include weekend shifts.

Part-Time (Fri-Sun) evening shifts available.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Provide rides for wheelchair users as well as UberX passengers
• Safely drive and operate vehicle
• Follow traffic laws and regulations
• Be extremely customer service oriented
• Use mobile device for routing information to pick passenger up and drive to destination
• This role requires regular assistance of wheelchair passengers, including operating wheelchair ramps and securement systems, and assisting with manually operated wheelchairs. Some passengers, inclusive of their wheelchairs, may weigh up to or exceed 400 pounds.

Basic requirements:

• Be at least 23 years old (for insurance purposes)
• Authorized to work in the U.S
• Must have a valid US driver's license with at least 2 year US driving history
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Successfully pass a pre-employment background and drug test
• UBER or LYFT ride-share and paratransit driving experience is a plus
