Senior Sourcing Coordinator - Apparel

The Senior Sourcing Coordinator on AmeriCo Group will be responsible for day-to-day sourcing and costing activities, including negotiations, product development, and factory allocations to maximize profit margins without compromising product quality or brand integrity. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the full apparel lifecycle, from product development and costing through production and delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Own development and production costing negotiations with factories to achieve margin targets, which also include production terms and ongoing cost-reduction opportunities, while maintaining strong vendor partnerships.
• Conduct style-level costing analysis throughout the development cycle; highlight margin risks, benchmark costs across vendors, review historical costing and product placement for like-for-like products, and partner cross-functionally and with leadership to resolve costing challenges while maintaining product quality and integrity.
• Support the development of seasonal and forward-looking allocation strategies.
• Manage sourcing-related calendar deliverables and coordinate cross-to ensure key milestones are met.
• Monitor foreign exchange rates and relevant market conditions to identify negotiation opportunities.
• Partner closely with design to understand seasonal direction, fabrication, trims, construction details, and intended product execution.
• Follow up with Designers, Sales, vendors regarding any questions that may arise regarding the development cycle.
• Educate vendors on product lines and assist in project engineering to reach margin goals.
• Evaluate prospective vendors through costing and development exercises to assess capabilities, competitiveness, and fit with AmeriCo’s business needs.
• Proactively identify and recommend process improvements to drive operational efficiencies.
• Attend all relevant cross-functional meetings and follow up on outstanding actions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Strong Excel skills
• Minimum 5 years of Production, Sourcing or Costing experience, with a strong understanding of garment construction
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and data accuracy
• Able to work well in high pressure and fast-paced environment
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work both independently and collaboratively

Annual salary range starting at $85,000+
