Fireplace Installer Apprentice (Entry Level)

Job Description

We are looking for a dependable, motivated Fireplace Installer Apprentice to join our installation team! This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, has strong mechanical aptitude, and wants to develop valuable skills in a specialized trade.

In this role, you will work alongside experienced installers to assist with the installation and maintenance of residential wood-burning and gas fireplaces, chimney systems, and related components.

Previous fireplace installation experience is not required. We are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist experienced installers with the installation of wood-burning and gas fireplace systems.
• Help assemble and install chimney systems and related components under supervision.
• Prepare residential job sites, tools, equipment, and materials before installations.
• Safely operate and maintain hand tools and power tools.
• Load, unload, transport, and organize installation materials.
• Follow established installation procedures, safety guidelines, and quality standards.
• Learn proper installation techniques and develop hands-on skills through training.
• Independently complete material preparation and job-site cleanup after training.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
• Communicate professionally with team members and provide basic updates to homeowners when needed.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic experience using hand tools and power tools.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively alongside experienced installers.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain a strong work ethic.
• Comfortable performing physically demanding work, including lifting materials and working on residential job sites.
• Professional attitude and strong teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in construction, HVAC installation, carpentry, general labor, or another hands-on trade.
• Familiarity with residential installation projects or basic mechanical systems.
• Experience assisting skilled tradespeople with installations or repairs.
• Previous fireplace or chimney installation experience is a plus, but not required.
